The American Alps Legacy Project is a grassroots campaign to complete the unfinished business of park and wilderness protection in Washington’s North Cascades. The campaign is led by a committee of representatives from a number of supporting organizations. The North Cascades Conservation Council, a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization, serves as fiscal sponsor.

A list of supporting organizations is found on our partners page.

N3C volunteer Joe Miller measures the circumference of giant western redcedar tree in lower Big Beaver Creek Valley, ca. 1960, to help make the case for the National Park. Today this ancient forest remains outside the full protection of National Park!
